The new ContourRoam waterproof case fits your camera like a hard plastic glove. Slide your ContourRoam into the case, latch it down, and begin capturing your favorite water adventures. Don't worry the waterproof case keeps your favorite functionality like a single record button, laser alignment, and TRail mounts and now it floats too! Even better are the two safety latches on the back of the case to lock it onto any of the TRail mounts. Note: This product is NOT compatible with the ContourHD, ContourGPS, or Contour+ cameras.

5Easy to use  Mar 25, 2012 By D. Affeld
We used it on our last dive trip to Honduras and it worked great. We used the water proof case and had no problems at 110 feet. The videos turned out great for the price.

4Contour Roam 3330 Waterproof case  Mar 23, 2012 By NNY_Parrothead
Pros: Lightweight, easy to hold and operate, fog free.

Cons: No lanyard attachment point. Needs locking feature for the closure latch.

I bought this for snorkeling the Mesoamerican Reef along Cancun. It worked very well and surprised me how well the microphone worked from within it. Video was crystal clear with only a few instances of seeing a corona from the body. Those were only when I surfaced and were momentary so no a big deal.

Camera use: My video came out a lot shakier than I thought I was being. Holding this camera in your hand takes some practice to get used to where you are shooting (no viewfinder) and to steady your hand. I think I will try using a 1 - 1 1/2' pole mount next time to dampen the movements and reduce the shake factor.

3good but not great, a few design flaws  Mar 22, 2012 By rprice54 "rprice54"
I bought this along with my ROAM for a recent scuba trip. It worked great down to 120' until the next to last day when we took it to 150' and it leaked. It didn't flood or equalize, the camera got a few drops on it (but it's waterproof itself for that kind of exposure) and so it wasn't a total loss, but after that it leaked on every dive, even at 40'.

I think the leak came from the tripod mount- which leads me to the design flaw. There is no where on the case to attach a lanyard- which is a must have for scuba diving. I used the profile mount to make my own wrist mount- except the adhesive failed under water. If I hadn't attached a lanyard I would have lost my camera on the first dive. I had rigged up an eye bolt screwed into the tripod mount as my lanyard attachment. Upon further inspection there were some tiny cracks around the tripod mount, probably from the eye bolt. I didn't bottom it out, and I used a nut on the outside to help secure it. It didn't crack when I attached it, but somewhere between home and sea the case cracked. It held up until we took it really deep. So I guess technically my fault- but the case needs two things- one, don't put a metal tripod mount in plastic. Either make the entire base metal or plastic, but the two different materials are asking for problems. I'd rather have plastic threads strip out on the mount if it gets yanked than the entire case crack.

Number two is they need to add an easy way to attach a lanyard. I ended up sliding on the helmet mount and using the lanyard attachment on the mount to attach a wrist lanyard so I could let go of the camera if I had to. you need a backup method to attach this thing to your wrist. I didn't want to use a goggle mount- I was afraid bubbles would interfere with the pic, plus it's harder to aim and to get up close when the camera is on your head. I'd rather stick my hand in a hole to get a good shot of a moray eel than my head.

I'm guessing without the cracks the case would have held up at the depths we were at. I will get another one and just not use the tripod mount.

5Great protection for camera  Feb 09, 2012 By Pamela Heldman

5Waterproof Case  Feb 06, 2012 By SharkDive
Worked great. Could not have asked for a better product. Took it to record my first Shark Encounter and all my other water outings while in Hawaii. It was great being able to share my shark encounter experience with family in a video format without fearing my camera being destroyed by a leaky case. It is a must have if recording anything underwater with the CountourROAM camera.
