 Great little photo book project! Feb 19, 2006

I tried this product for the first time this week. I found it very easy to use and was surprised that in just a few short minutes that I actually handmade something so clever and cute. The software package itself is no frills but easy enough to follow. I recommend printing drafts before going to final print. Note--You must have a decent printer in order to derive a good result.

I received the product today and gave it a try. The first thing I did was download the new software. The software itself is very easy to use - you simply point the browser to where your pictures are located, and drag them in the order you want them to be in the album. You then have the ability to add frames to each page and text as well.
I had to reinstall the software several times to keep it from crashing each time I went to the "select" screen so I could change a few pictures. When I tried to print the final copy, I kept having problems with the page ejecting from my printer and not printing. I discovered that I had set the print quality too high. By readjusting to "best" instead of "maximum", the page printed.
The cover printed off-center, and when I printed it I had to support it with a 4"x6" piece of paper to get it to feed. So the picture doesn't line up and the words are not where they should be, but it still looks pretty cool. Give it a shot and have fun.

This mini-album is an excellent product for crafters as well as for those who like to carry small pictures of loved ones or events. It is easy to use and can be carried in a purse easily. The bonus is that it will last a lifetime - and Amazon's price is a 30 to 40% savings.

I bought this item after seeing it on Martha Stewart. I gave it as mother's day gifts to the grandmothers. Perfect item so that they have a little photo book with the kids pictures on them all the time. The directions were okay, but the directions for the album cover itself was in japanese, but I figured it out. Just a note, but whatever picture you pick for the cover be sure that it will fit nicely without being distorted because it needs to stretch a bit to make the cover. Also when you choose the pictures for the book, you can also add a border and captions if you want. I will definately be doing these again.

The end result was not perfect because my Dell printer would not grab the photo paper readily...I had to force it and my pictures were a little off in the album...the instructions were also a little difficult; but the idea is very clever and the album very cute; albeit off center a little.
