The best bargain in 35mm photography Mar 12, 2009
By Karl Rahder The N90s (F90x everywhere but the US) has been my main film camera for journalism work in the former USSR since 2005. It is outstanding in every way, and is a bargain at its current market value. The meter is superb, and typically does not over- or under-expose. (My FA overexposes with backlit subjects.) The N90s is tough, weather-sealed, but not too heavy. It feels great when handling it and is almost infinitely adjustable, with a number of settings for flash (such as back or front flash), burst speed, focus, etc. The only issue with the camera is that the back rubberized armor begins to delaminate if you use the camera a lot. I'd recommend it unhesitatingly if you need a cheap but superb semi-pro 35mm camera. (By the way, the Amazon illustration seems to be a D90, not an N90s/F90x.)

My best film camera ever Jun 17, 2011
By Jaime Landauer

I use advance D-SLR's, but this Nikon N90S was given to me by a coworker as a gift with three good lenses and a flash in very good conditions. He didn't wanted to use film anymore because of the cost of film and developing. It was after I commented to him that I wanted to experiment with film. The camera is almost new, I have already tested it in Auto and Manual mode, and it and came out with great results. It feels really good in your hands when taking photos. It even feels better than many D-SLRS. It is a shame the film is expensive, and developing sometimes is not the best quaility.
I just gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because it has an issue with the "melting rubber" on the camera back, which happens to all these models.

Love This Camera Jan 10, 2006

I'm diving into the realm of photography. I have always loved it, and now it was time to buckle down and become serious. I bought this camera and never looked back. This camera is by far the best camera I have ever owned. I love all the control I have over my photography. I never become disapointed and the pictures come out perfect everytime. I don't recomend this camera for a beginner, the controls are way to advaced for most. This is a good camera for a serious photographer or student. I used to think my Minolta was unable to be beat, until I got this camera.

I hope this never breaks on me! Nov 15, 2007
By A. Capostagno I love this camera. I bought it this year. I bought all the options afterward; MB-10, MF-26 and SB-26. I use it as my primary camera. I'd buy another one. I recommend this.

On the N-90s Nov 03, 2003 This is the best digitally controlled 35mm SLR I have ever used. The price tag may be high, but the features you get in one package make it worthwhile. The auto focus lock button and auto exposure lock button are located where they should be. The auto focus selector (single, continuous, manual) allows full control in every situation. The metering system is extremely accurate, and the built in spot meter is a plus. The control dial rather than an arrow up/down configuration gives you much faster control. I recommend this camera for the professional, or students. The vast amount of digital control might be confusing for the beginner.
