I have LC-E4 charger and need to charge my batteries when traveling in remote and undeveloped countries. Granted, it takes a while to run down LP-E4 battery, but eventually they do run out. This adapter allows you to plug in into car's Cigarette Lighter Adapter or use CLA adapter on a solar panel. I have tried it using Powerfilm F15-1200 20W solar panel, and it worked.
