Nikon Reflex 500mm F8 N Oct 31, 2011
By L.K.Chua (Singapore) This is one of the sharpest 500mm F8 Reflex lens that I have ever use other than my Nikon 500mm F4 VR2 AF-S . Its fast and Bright in Focusing with the Nikon D3S and Nikon D300s. Its donut background give me the different kind of feeling and different approach in a more artistic way rather then what a lot Professional rate it as "Messy Background ". Landscape and Birding Photos taken were Jaw Drop that is comparable to any High End Optical Telephoto lens . Focusing distance between objects and lens were superbly close . Contrast and sharpest were stunning . No regrets buying this piece of Jewel that is No longer made by Nikon . In time to come ,this Reflex lens is going be highly collectable and the price may shoot up to sky high . Here I rest assure that a lot Pro and Amateur that have use this piece of Jewel will agreed with me in terms of the price and quality built(Built like a Tank ). The Best of all Mirror Reflex 500m F8 lens ever built by Nikon in the late 80's.
