5How many pictures will it store?  Nov 05, 2004 By Brent D. Payne "SEO Director, Tribune"
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Delkin 128MB SmartMedia Card, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

5Smart Card was a life saver  Nov 11, 2010 By RVarney
Delkin 128 MB SmartMedia Card (DDSMFLS2-128) (Purchased on 10/10/2010) was an answer to my prayer's. I bought an older camera from a flea market. This camera was one of the first digital camera sold,(Olympus) and it was in great shape, but had no memory card. The stores no longer carried this type of memory card required for this camera, so I did an internet search, and found this smart card. I ordered my new cards from Amazon.com which they carried. The Smart Card is great, and gives me the service I require. I bought 2 so I switch between them. They hold many photos before the need to upload to my PC. I can continue to reuse them as needed. These cards also work in my digital piano. I would highly recommend this card for your needs.

5Delkin delivers  Aug 15, 2008 By levmlaffin
I was surprised to find so many SmartMedia cards on line after believing they were gone forever several years ago when they were pulled from retail shelves. (I'm not imagining that, am I?) The Delkin SmartMedia card does what it promises, and Amazon led me to a price that was significantly lower than most.

5After sale services  Nov 22, 2010 By Pieter
It was refreshing to find that on Amazon.com I could find the SmartMedia Card for my digital camera, an Olympus C-720, I was looking for and there were plenty available. The ones I bought work excellent and were pre-formatted as well.
Averywhere else I tried, the message was "doesn't exist anymore" or "that's old, these cards are not produced anymore" or "that camera is not produced anymore, so you will not find a card for that either". Even on the Olympus website I looked in vain.
A camera may not be produced any longer and be replaced by newer models, but through the world there must be thousands of these camera's stil in use, so why should there not be any consumabels such as these cards available?
The same problem can be experienced with mobile phones and laptops. It works perfectly, but at one point the battery may start to fail, so you look for a replacement battery, only to be told "No we don't have that; there is a new model phone/laptop on the market now". That may be so, but what about all the existing equipment? Dead silence then.
There seems to be no after sales service anymore, so I was glad to find Amazon.com to be different and offer items for sale that are not only the latest of the latest gadget.
